Amrita Rao Didn't Have Fun in School Life

People generally hold only fond memories of their school time.
But Amrita Rao is not one of them.

'I went to a strict school.
'Even if a button was missing here and a clip missing there, we were punished.
'I had to always be obedient. No masti at all for me,' she said.

But Amrita had solace in the fact that she was never forced to be an academic over-achiever.

'The best part of my school days was that my parents never forced me to study.
'I have never been pressurised.
'There was never a condition in my life; I always got what I wanted,' she added.

Amrita Rao Walks for Archana Kocchar at LFW 2012

Amrita Rao looked pristine and picture perfect in a flowing paneled gown with colorful embroidery as Archana Kochhar's show-stopper at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer / Resort 2012 on Tuesday, March 6.

The 30-year-old actress wore a dress from the designer's new collection titled Kathputli Kathak.

Archana says the collection is inspired by the colors of Rajasthan and the vibrant swaying of the Kathputli dolls.

Amrita's floor length ivory gown was accented with multi colored embroidery on yoke, hem and cuffs, with jeweled tassels hanging from the left sleeve. The gown featured a shirt collar, elbow length gathered sleeves and full skirt.

We loved her hair and makeup - tousled side swept hair was tied in a wavy ponytail that draped her left shoulder, giving a clear view of the sheer panel on her upper back and criss-cross braiding detail.


Her makeup echoed the color hues from the embroidery on her dress - dewy pink lipstick, bold pink blusher, and smoky blue eyes. A French manicure rounded her ethereal look.

Last Christmas I and my cousin took up a cooking project. We prepared a five-course elaborate menu with Barbecue. I also baked a cake.

Shahid, Amrita to Pair-Up Again?

Kumar Taurani, the man who launched Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao is apparently planning to get the pair together once again.

He is in the process of developing an out-and-out romantic film to be directed by Mandeep Kumar who's debuting with the Ritesh-Genelia film. Says a source, "Kumar Taurani has discussed the script with Amrita. However he is yet to get in touch with Shahid. Despite two hit films together Shahid-Amrita have not worked together after Vivaah."

Amrita, who is shooting for Jolly LLB with Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani, reluctantly confirmed having been approached by Taurani but refused to divulge further details. However, a source close to Shahid maintained that the news was not true.
